The first annual meeting of Bioinformatics & Drug Design Platform in Centre for Translational Medical Research in Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine (Institute of Basic Research in  Clinical Medicine, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences & Institute for Advancing Translational Medicine in Bone & Joint Diseases, Hong Kong Baptist University) was held in Shenzhen, China on October 26~28, 2012.

The theme for this annual meeting was advancing the establishment of integrating bioinformatics and data mining in the field of Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine. Forty-two members from Beijing, Hong Kong, Lanzhou and Henan participated in the meeting. Prof. Aiping Lu (Dean of the School of Chinese Medicine ), Prof. Zhaoxiang Bian (Associate Vice-President of Hong Kong Baptist University and Professor of TMBJ), Dr. Ge Zhang , Dr. Zhijun Yang  and other members delivered lectures during the meeting. The team members also summarized their work in the past year and framed the working plan for the next year.
